As you may already know, St Matthew’s received an Ofsted inspection at the start of the month and we now have the final report. I am delighted to announce that St Matthew’s continues to be rated as a ‘Good School’.
The report details the many, many strengths of our school and highlights the work that we have done to make St Matthew’s a place our whole school family can be proud to belong to. In particular, the report praises our diverse curriculum; exciting, stimulating teaching; pupil’s progress; high-quality leadership; as well as the children’s polite and friendly behaviour. It also suggests areas where we can focus our efforts for the future.
I hope you share my delight in reading the report which is attached here:
This inspection report affirms everything that makes St. Matthew’s a school where our children shine and points to a future where we will continue to go from strength to strength. I would like to thank everyone for their contribution to our success. The feedback from the inspectors about our staff, governors and parents was overwhelmingly positive. This is a credit to the hard-work of our staff, the dedication of our governors and the support of our parent community.
However, most of all, I would like to thank the brilliant children who attend our school. Their behaviour, conduct and attitudes to school life are exemplary. Throughout the inspection they demonstrated the values of St Matthew’s and showed the inspectors the genuine pride they take in being part of our school family.
