We have an early Christmas present for our school. Over the past few months, St. Matthew’s has been putting together a bid for a lottery grant to help improve our school. Last week we heard we have been successful and awarded £10,000 to add a sensory garden to our school grounds. The garden will be filled with sensory planting and be accessible to all members of our school family at the front of school. It will provide a relaxing and calm space for everyone to enjoy throughout the year.
An additional part of the overall project will be the amazing mural our children and families are helping create in craft club every Wednesday. We are incredibly grateful to Generation Stretford (part of the same team who run our after-school club) who are funding this part of the project.
