Mia created a lovely, thoughtful poem at home to commemorate the soldiers who died in World War 2. She linked the poem with one of our rights; Article 38 – You have the right to freedom and protection from war. We are extremely grateful to all the people who work hard to keep us safe, including soldiers, doctors, nurses, fireman and policemen, and they will be in thoughts throughout the week.
Mia’s poem reads:
We wear our poppies for those who are in need,
And all of the suffering was done in greed,
Because Hitler wanted our land,
So he brought over his big army band,
And innocent men were forced to fight,
So we wear a poppy to remember those who fought for our right.
