This morning, Year 5 watched a clip from the news. A policeman named PC Andrew Clarke was appealing for information regarding a missing boy in Stretford. As he was opening up the school, Mr. Langridge found what seemed to be a homeless shelter, which led us to wonder if the two were related. We went outside to inspect the shelter and wrote descriptive sentences in order to send to the police. Fortunately, Mr. Langridge received a phone call from the police later in the day thanking us for our information and telling us that the boy had been found safe and well. We are going to be focusing on homelessness in our writing this half term.
